Austin Lee Named Chair of Mars Hill University Board of Advisors

Atlanta Wealth Strategist Gives Back to Alma Mater

Mars Hill, NC (01/31/2022) — Austin Lee of Atlanta, Georgia, has been named the new chair of the Mars Hill University Board of Advisors. He succeeds Anna Renfro, who has been named to the university's board of trustees. His two-year term began January 1, 2022.

Lee is a 2003 graduate of the university, and has been a member of the board since 2015. Following graduation from Mars Hill, he earned a master's degree in accounting from North Carolina State University. Lee currently is a senior client strategist for BNY Mellon Wealth Management in Atlanta. He has an extensive career in accounting, banking, and wealth management.

"My time at Mars Hill was instrumental in the success I have enjoyed in my life and career," Lee said. "I remain engaged because I want future students to enjoy the same immersive experience, in and out of the classroom, that I had."

The board of advisors comprises 30 alumni and friends of the university. The group meets biannually to address current and future institutional opportunities. Its mission is to promote the philosophy and values of Mars Hill University; advise the institution on changing cultural and societal attitudes, opinions, concerns, and expectations; and encourage financial support.
