"A Community Rewoven" Art Workshop
7-8:30 p.m., Blue Lounge (Wren Student Union)
The Intro to Art Therapy class will host workshops for people to create art in response to Hurricane Helene. Individual pieces will be sewn into a large community quilt. No art experience necessary. Community members from WNC welcome.

Holiday Potluck: Ornament-Making and Old-Time Jam
5:30-8 p.m., Bentley Fellowship Hall
Join the Ramsey Center for Appalachian Studies for a potluck, old-time jam, and ornament-making. The event is free and open to both campus and community. We'll have supplies on hand to make ornaments that you can take home with you. Please bring a finger-food if you are able and an instrument if you wish. Sourwood Ridge (Troy Harrison, Craig Bannerman, and Scotty Owenby) will be playing tunes.

The Geometry of Privacy
7 p.m., Belk Auditorium (Wren Student Union)
MHU hosts UNC Asheville's annual Parsons Lecture, a series featuring presentations by nationally renowned mathematicians speaking on a topic accessible to the general audience. Francis Su is the Benediktsson-Karwa Professor of Mathematics at Harvey Mudd College and a former president of the Mathematical Association of America. His lecture will focus on the use of geometry in algorithms used by Apple, Google, Uber, the U.S. Census Bureau, and others, to protect the privacy of databases.

Senior Visit Day
9 a.m.-1 p.m., Ferguson Math & Science Center and Wren Student Union
Prospective students will visit campus to learn more about what it's like to be a student at Mars Hill University. Students will have the opportunity to hear about life at Mars Hill from current students and ask questions about their experiences. Family and friends will have the opportunity to hear from various representatives across campus and ask questions one-on-one.

Join us for a square dance in MHU's Loft with caller Rodney Sutton and live old-time music! Absolutely no experience is necessary - first-timers are welcome and encouraged. MHU's own Bailey Mountain Cloggers will be there showing off some fancy footwork, too. This dance is free and open to all - both on-campus and community.
